Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. in Westborough, MA is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive technical sales of highly engineered products.

The role emphasizes maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting development with the customer base, and negotiating contracts while coordinating with internal teams. The position involves frequent interaction with engineering, production, and quality, plus travel up to half of the time.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree, BS preferred: Material Science/Engineering/Technical.
• 3 years outside technical sales experience.
• Strong technical comprehension of drawings, materials and engineering terms.
• Ability to resolve conflicts effectively and professionally.
• Proficient with Outlook & MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must possess legal driver's license and be able to legally drive in the US.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Meets monthly booking goals and milestones for Master Plan and 3-year sales plans.
• Use technical engineering skills to generate new business with established products.
• Manage customer interaction and relationship within own account base.
• Represent customer requests to production, quality, and management.
• Communicate with counterparts in Japan and US on price, delivery, and technical confirmation.
• May travel up to 50% of the time for customer visits and trade shows.
• Drive daily sales activity including order tracking and logistics planning.
• Mentor or train associates and lead projects if needed.
