Job summary

Patronus AI, Inc. is seeking a Technical Recruiter to own the end-to-end hiring process for researchers and engineers. You will build pipelines, partner with co-founders, and close candidates who have multiple offers, using AI to automate market mapping, outreach, and funnel analysis.

You will develop domain fluency to evaluate technical qualifications, read papers, review GitHub work, and hold the bar with founders in a fast-moving startup that values impact and rigor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting, including at a startup.
• Experience hiring engineers or researchers when competing offers exist.
• Ability to source candidates not actively looking and outside first pages of results.
• Able to read technical material and form judgement before the hiring manager.
• Strong negotiation skills and value proposition framing.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruitment for research, platform, product engineering and technical program management roles.
• Source passive candidates from publications, citations, open-source work, conferences and academia.
• Collaborate with founders to translate vague needs into concrete roles, scope, and criteria.
• Develop domain fluency to evaluate technical qualifications beyond keywords.
• Close candidates, manage competing offers, and drive negotiations with founders.
