Job description

Role & responsibilities

A Data Analytics Recruiter specializes in identifying and hiring high-performing talent in the analytics space, spanning BI developers, data engineers, analysts, and science roles. You will act as a trusted partner to hiring managers, ensuring each candidate aligns with both technical requirements and business objectives. Success in this role demands deep familiarity with the analytics ecosystem, especially BI/reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, MicroStrategy, and Qlik Sense.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Building
    Develop targeted sourcing strategies for BI/analytics roles via LinkedIn, Naukri, GitHub, data-focused forums (Kaggle, Stack Overflow), and campus networks.
  • Stakeholder Partnership
    Collaborate with hiring managers to refine job requirements, map critical skills (data modeling, ETL, SQL, DAX/MDX), and define selection criteria.
  • Technical Screening & Assessment
    Evaluate resumes and conduct initial screens to assess proficiency in BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Qlik Sense) and core SQL/data-warehousing concepts. Coordinate or administer technical assessments (take-home assignments, portfolio reviews, coding challenges) to validate candidate capabilities.
  • End-to-End Recruitment
    Manage the full hiring lifecycle: job posting, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding handoff. Maintain an up-to-date ATS and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Metrics & Continuous Improvement
    Track and report key talent-acquisition metrics (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness), identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.

Experience: 6+ years of full-cycle technical recruitment, with at least 3 years focused on data analytics or BI roles.

Tool Knowledge: Hands-on understanding of BI/reporting platforms—Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Qlik Sense—and complementary data technologies (SQL, ETL frameworks, data-warehousing).

Sourcing & Screening: Proficiency with ATS platforms (e.g., SmartRecruiters, Taleo), LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, Indeed, and Boolean/advanced sourcing techniques.

Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to engage technical stakeholders and guide them through hiring decisions.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience recruiting for specialized analytics roles—Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Analytics Architects.
  • Familiarity with data-privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, local regulations).
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or technical recruiting accreditation.
  • Strong network within India’s analytics community (meetups, hackathons, alumni groups).
