About the Role

We're building production lines for a brand new fiber optic connector product driven by AI data center demand. Our automation team designs and builds custom equipment in house, and we need a technical project coordinator to keep every machine build on track. You'll own the material and schedule side of each build: turning engineering parts lists into orders, chasing long lead components, and keeping engineering, suppliers and the warehouse in sync from design release through commissioning.

What You'll Do
  • Create purchase requisitions and POs in SAP and Ariba for machine components, tooling and capital equipment
  • Build and maintain BOM and material tracking for each machine build
  • Track and expedite long lead automation parts such as servo drives, vision hardware, robots and machined components
  • Resolve pricing, quality and lead time issues directly with suppliers
  • Receive and verify incoming material against packing slips, part numbers and certifications, and log receipts in inventory
  • Maintain project files, engineering drawings, revisions and quality certifications
  • Track build schedules and milestones, and publish status updates and meeting minutes
  • Independently resolve missing shipments, delayed orders and invoice issues
What You'll Bring
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience supporting engineering or manufacturing teams
  • Hands on experience with SAP (MM) and Ariba, or a similar purchasing system
  • Comfort reading BOMs, part numbers and engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail with specs and data entry
  • Advanced Excel plus Word, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to prioritize urgent requests alongside daily work
  • Clear communication with engineers, project managers and suppliers
Nice to Have
  • Buyer experience with automation, electrical or machined components
  • Engineering background with an interest in growing into project management
  • Experience with MS Project or Smartsheet, document control or ECNs
  • Exposure to FAT/SAT, NPI or equipment transfers
Why This Role

You'll be at the center of a fast moving engineering program, working directly with the engineers building the machines and growing your technical project management skills on a new product.
