Job summary

Sterling Engineering is searching for a Technical Project Manager in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will lead the deployment of advanced industrial automation systems, collaborating across engineering, operations, and customer teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Your responsibilities will include managing project schedules, risks, and milestones while supporting Factory Acceptance Testing. Ideal candidates should have over 4 years of experience in project management and a strong technical background in deploying complex systems.

• 4+ years of project management experience in a technical environment.
• Experience deploying complex hardware, automation, or industrial systems.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

What You'll Do

• Lead deployment projects from kickoff to customer handoff
• Manage schedules, risks, milestones, and stakeholder communication
• Partner with customers to ensure successful implementations
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering and operations
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and deployment readiness
• Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of project management experience in a technical environment
• Experience deploying complex hardware, automation, or industrial systems
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with project management tools and Agile methodologies
• Manufacturing or industrial experience is needed
• Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites
