Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on Project Manager within the Operations group to drive design-to-production readiness for launch hardware. You will coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to manage budgets, schedules, tooling, and risk while delivering critical flight and R&D hardware.

The role emphasizes clear communication, rigorous analysis, and timely escalation of issues to leadership, contributing to a high-velocity aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and communication skills in technical work environments.
  • Experience in project management in a technical environment.
  • Self-starter with a strong bias for action.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and balancing internal and external schedules.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to inclusion.
  • US citizenship or permanent resident status or eligible for work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of artifacts required to take assigned Work Centers from design to sustained production in partnership with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Create and use standard formats for data aggregation and reporting to executive leadership on readiness, escalations, help needs, and wins.
  • Track design release, Make/Buy parts, tooling, work orders, non-conformances, and anything required for timely production start and sustainment.
  • Support the SMEs during the build.
  • Partner with engineering hardware design teams, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, suppliers, and program leadership to ensure the timely delivery of critical flight and R&D hardware including budgets and schedules.
  • Communicate risks and risk abatement plans to management.
  • Transition products from concept to development phase.
