Job summary

OnLogic seeks an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead development of rugged edge computers and servers. You will drive cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure on‑time delivery from concept to production, with onsite work at Cary, NC or South Burlington, VT.

The role requires strong hardware knowledge, stakeholder management, and a track record in delivering complex programs on time and within budget. PMP or related certification is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience delivering large, complex projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science; a Master’s degree is a strong plus.
• Demonstrable expertise in computer hardware, electrical design, mechanical engineering, and system integration.
• Proven track record managing vendor relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, risk mitigation, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).
• A detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable work style.
• PMP or comparable certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Program Leadership: Lead development projects from concept to production using a structured gate-staged process.
• Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans including schedules, budgets, sourcing, and prototype build strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams from leadership to engineers.
• Risk Management: Own project and portfolio risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• On-Time Delivery & Budget Control: Ensure timely execution while staying within budget across all departments and partners.
• Transparent Communication: Provide clear progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic Technical Decision-Making: Evaluate requirements against complexity, cost, and time-to-market; drive phase-gate exits.
• Interdisciplinary Leadership: Optimize cross-functional workflows and maintain project velocity.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement process efficiencies and standards for faster delivery.
