Job summary

OnLogic in South Burlington, VT is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the development of industrial computers, edge systems, and servers. You will drive cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure on‑time delivery of our rugged hardware solutions.

In this role you’ll oversee all development stages—from concept through prototype, validation, and production—emphasizing electrical, mechanical, and firmware quality, regulatory compliance, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science required; Master’s degree a strong plus.
  • Demonstrable expertise in computer hardware, electrical design, mechanical engineering, and/or system integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, risk mitigation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) is a bonus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable work style.

Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑End Program Leadership: drive development from concept to production using a gate-staged process.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, sourcing, and prototypes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: foster collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional engineers.
  • Risk Management: own project and portfolio risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • On‑Time Delivery & Budget Control: ensure timely execution within budget across all departments and partners.
  • Transparent Communication: provide clear progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: implement process efficiencies and cross‑functional standards to speed up development cycles.

Job description

We are seeking a driven Technical Project Manager to join our team in our South Burlington, VT office. As a Technical Project Manager at OnLogic, you will manage the development of new industrial and rugged computers, edge systems, and servers. You will be responsible for driving cross‑functional teams, managing budgets, and ensuring on time delivery of our innovative products. You will oversee all development stages, driving technical quality in electrical, mechanical, and firmware designs, and ensuring all products meet stringent ruggedized design, regulatory compliance, and lifecycle management standards.

We believe in the power of in‑person collaboration and the benefits of a strong workplace community. Therefore, this role requires an onsite presence at our South Burlington, VT office. We encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute to apply.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • End‑to‑End Program Leadership: Driving development projects from initial concept through prototype build, validation, and ultimately to production, utilizing a structured gate‑staged development process.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Developing and managing comprehensive project plans for all engineering initiatives, including detailed schedules, budgets, sourcing, and prototype build strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivating strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and fostering collaboration with cross‑functional teams, from senior leadership to highly specialized engineers.
  • Risk Management: Taking ownership of project and portfolio risks, and proactively implementing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • On‑Time Delivery & Budget Control: Ensuring the timely execution of projects across all internal departments and external partners, while staying within the project development budget.
  • Transparent Communication: Providing clear and consistent progress updates to both internal and external stakeholders throughout all phases of development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implementing process efficiencies and cross‑functional standards, enabling faster development cycles and scalable product delivery.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $105,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
