Job description

Technical Project Manager – SaaS / Engineering / Release Management

Miami | Up to $120K

Do you thrive in a fast-moving SaaS engineering environment where software is released frequently and priorities can change daily?

We're working with an innovative technology company looking for a Technical Project Manager to sit directly within their Engineering workflow and drive the day-to-day execution of software delivery. This is a hands-on Technical Project Management role. You'll work closely with engineers every day, owning work from the moment a request comes in through to QA, release and production. You'll be responsible for keeping the backlog clean, priorities clear, blockers moving and releases on track.

This is NOT a strategy, Product Management, PMO or people-management role.

We're looking for someone who has genuinely worked inside a fast-paced software engineering team and is comfortable operating at a high release cadence.

If you enjoy turning a messy backlog into a clean board, chasing down the one answer that is blocking an engineer, and making sure work actually gets shipped — this could be a great fit.

What you'll be doing
  • Own the ticket pipeline: Triage requests from Support, Sales and internal teams. Make sure every ticket is understood, scoped, assigned and prioritised.
  • Own prioritisation: Work directly with Engineering and leadership to determine what needs to happen now, what can wait and why.
  • Live inside the Engineering workflow: Work with developers throughout the day across tickets, sprints, QA, staging and production.
  • Unblock engineers quickly: Identify stalled work and chase down the information, decision or dependency required to get it moving — same day wherever possible.
  • Own delivery follow-up: Don't wait for the next stand-up. Proactively chase actions, dependencies and outstanding decisions.
  • Own releases: Coordinate what is going out, confirm work has been tested and documented, and ensure everyone understands what is being released.
  • Maintain the changelog: Keep release information accurate and accessible.
  • Keep everyone informed: Translate technical progress and issues into clear, concise updates for Product, Sales, Support and leadership.
  • 3+ years managing software delivery within an Engineering team as a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, Delivery Manager, TPM or Scrum Master who genuinely owned execution.
  • Recent experience working in a fast-paced SaaS/software environment.
  • Demonstrable experience working with frequent software releases — ideally weekly or more frequently.
  • Experience being embedded within Engineering, working directly with developers rather than primarily managing agencies, vendors or high-level programmes.
  • Fluent in modern development workflows: tickets, Jira, sprints, branching, QA, staging vs. production, deployments and release cycles.
  • Experience owning or coordinating software releases from development through production.
  • Strong understanding of how Engineering teams actually work and the ability to challenge, question and unblock technical delivery.
  • Ruthlessly organised — you don't let tickets, actions or dependencies disappear.
  • Direct and concise communicator.
  • Strong bias toward action — you solve problems rather than waiting for the next meeting.
  • Comfortable holding engineers and stakeholders accountable without relying on formal authority.
You may currently be a:

Technical Project Manager | Technical Delivery Manager | Engineering Project Manager | Technical Program Manager | Delivery Manager | Scrum Master

But the title matters less than what you actually do day-to-day.

We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
  • Fast release cycles
  • Direct day-to-day interaction with Engineering
  • Ownership of software releases
  • Experience working in a small, agile and fast-moving environment
  • A track record of staying with teams long enough to make a meaningful impact

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit above the engineering process and report on it.

You need to be comfortable being in the middle of it. If you're the person who knows what every engineer is working on, what's blocked, what's shipping next and what needs chasing, we'd like to hear from you.
