Job description

Come join our Growth & Sales team!

High velocity, high intensity, high trust, high bar, high impact, and a will to win.

If those words resonate deeply with you, this could be your next career move. We're seeking someone who leads with humility, pursues audacious goals, and is motivated by meaningful impact on people and the world.

At FutureFit AI, our core mission is to help more people get to better jobs faster and cheaper, with a specific focus on those facing barriers to opportunity. Our work helps resolve the growing issue of economic inequality, ensuring that no one is left behind in the future of work. Our AI-powered platform brings efficiency and insight to workforce development, replacing outdated systems and unlocking human potential at scale.

Important note: Data shows that men typically apply when meeting 3/10 requirements, while women often wait until it's 10/10. We encourage you to apply if you see a strong (not necessarily perfect) fit.

Your Role

We're seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead day-to-day delivery on our most complex implementations. This is a new role at FutureFit AI, created to strengthen how we deliver in environments with many stakeholders, deep integrations, and custom development work. These engagements differ from our standard SaaS deployments and demand a specific combination of skills, including extreme project management rigor paired with real technical depth.

You will lead the delivery plan and the day-to-day execution across our internal teams, the customer's teams, and third-party partners (including systems integrators, sub-contractors, and adjacent vendors already in the customer's environment). Your Customer Success counterpart will remain the account executive - owning the commercial relationship and the long arc of the partnership - while you lead the work: driving the design and scoping process, orchestrating build across teams, and getting to on-time, high-quality delivery. Major product and technical decisions are made in partnership with our Build (Product, Data, and Engineering) leadership.

The right person for this role thinks like a systems integrator. You've spent your career at the seam between what customers need and what technology can do - translating business requirements into integration architectures, orchestrating engineers who don't report to you, and driving programs to landing in environments where the technology is only half the challenge. You're comfortable in a room with an agency deputy secretary in the morning, an API design review in the afternoon, and a change-order conversation with a sub-contractor before dinner.

You’ll partner most closely with our Customer Success leadership, our Build (Product, Data and Engineering) leadership, and the customer's program and IT leadership. This role is the model we intend to scale - how you shape the playbook will define how we deliver on complex public-sector implementations for years to come.

What You'll Own
  • End-to-end delivery leadership: Lead the delivery plan, timeline, milestones, and execution for one or more complex implementations at a time. Convert signed contracts and statements of work into a real, sequenced plan of work with dependencies mapped, risks named, and owners clear. Escalate major scope, timeline, or technical decisions to Build and CS leadership with a clear recommendation and the context they need to decide quickly.

  • Design and scoping leadership: Lead the technical design and scoping process with the customer - integration scope, data flows, SSO/IAM requirements, security posture, and API contracts with the customer's environment. Bring options and tradeoffs to our Build leadership, who make the final call on architecture and product direction. You don't need to build the integrations, but you do need to understand them well enough to shape a good design and hold everyone accountable to what was agreed.

  • Multi-stakeholder governance: Design and run the governance model - steering committees, working groups, sprint reviews, executive updates. Keep executive stakeholders (state agency leadership, our leadership, partner leadership) genuinely informed on progress, risks, and decisions needed. No surprises.

  • Cross-team orchestration: Coordinate work across FutureFit's internal teams (Product, Engineering, Data, Customer Success), the customer's teams (program, IT, procurement, legal), and third parties (systems integrators, sub-consultants, upstream/downstream vendors). Make it feel like one team even when it isn't.

  • Risk, dependency, and change management: Surface risks and dependencies before they become problems. Run a disciplined change-control process for scope, timeline, and budget. When something has to move, know it early, name it clearly, and negotiate the tradeoff.

  • Delivery discipline and artifacts: Bring rigor to how we plan, track, and document work — RAID logs, decision logs, integration maps, milestone plans, status reports that people actually read. Set the bar for what "well-run" looks like for FutureFit's professional services.

  • Customer confidence and credibility: Be the person the customer trusts to tell them the truth about where things stand - good, bad, or complicated. Earn the right to push back when a customer request would put the program at risk, and to say yes with confidence when it's the right call.

  • Playbook development: Help build the professional services function from the inside out. Document what works, surface patterns across implementations, and contribute to a repeatable delivery motion that scales to the next TPM behind you.

Who You Might Be

We care more about proven delivery in complex, technical, multi-stakeholder environments than a specific title on your résumé. The right person could come from several backgrounds - here are a few profiles we'd be excited about:

  • The systems integrator. You've worked at a boutique or major SI (Deloitte, Accenture, Slalom, ICF, Guidehouse, or a workforce-specialized shop) leading complex public-sector or enterprise implementations. You've owned integration scope, managed multi-stakeholder programs, and delivered under fixed-fee or performance-based contracts. You've probably been the person a client asks for by name when things get hard.

  • The senior TPM from govtech or enterprise SaaS. You've been the technical delivery lead on complex customer implementations at a govtech or enterprise SaaS company - the kind of deployment that involves SSO, data integrations with legacy systems, custom workflows, and a customer program office. You know how to run an implementation without becoming the bottleneck.

  • The workforce or public-sector delivery lead. You've led major workforce, labor, or social-services technology deployments from inside a state agency, national intermediary, or workforce-focused vendor. You understand how state government makes decisions, how procurement and security reviews work, and how to keep a program moving through political and organizational churn.

  • The engineering-lead-turned-delivery-lead. You started as an engineer or solutions architect and grew into a program leadership role. You still read APIs and architecture diagrams for fun. You bring technical judgment to the room and can hold your own with our engineering team while running a program.

If you don't fit neatly into one of these profiles but believe you're the right person for this role, we encourage you to tell us why.

Required Experience
  • 5+ years working on complex, cross-functional technology implementations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role where you had clear ownership of scope, timeline, and delivery outcomes.

  • Real technical depth: you can read an API spec, reason about integration patterns, understand SSO/IAM and data-pipeline tradeoffs, and hold a substantive conversation with senior engineers without hand-waving.

  • Extreme project management rigor: you have a system for how you plan, track, and communicate, and you can point to artifacts (milestone plans, RAID logs, decision logs, status reports) that show it.

  • Demonstrated experience in multi-stakeholder environments - customers, internal teams, third-party partners -
