Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish within Google Global Infrastructure. You’ll plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners, executives and engineers.

You’ll oversee end-to-end delivery of the global layer-1 physical network infrastructure, securing fiber and transport capacity and managing vendor relationships across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with vendor management.
• Experience working with metropolitan/long haul fiber network delivery and ISP/OSP construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform fiber characterization and acceptance testings to ensure fiber paths meet rigorous Google Acceptance Standards.
• Create, track, and update project data across internal systems and databases.
• Identify and investigate operational discrepancies and driving rectification efforts on a case-by-case basis.
• Acts as the primary operational link with external telecommunication vendors and internal teams to ensure physical connectivity is delivered on time and within specifications.
