Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the system-level design and deployment of the global fiber optic network connecting Google data centers. You will coordinate with engineers and executives to plan requirements, manage risks, and drive schedules from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience in program management.
• Experience with fiber network deployments.
• Experience with network infrastructure or risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of global network infrastructure programs, including long-haul fiber, metro networks, and leased capacity, ensuring milestones from concept through deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand dependencies, resolve constraints, and align capacity forecasting with deployment timelines.
• Identify and communicate project risks and technical trade-offs to engineering and leadership.
• Translate strategic initiatives into well-defined requirements, roadmaps, and execution plans.
• Contribute to process improvements and scalability within network deployment workflows.
