Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional projects for global fiber optic network deployments. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with engineers and executives while guiding technical trade-offs in product development.

You will help design and deploy the system-level fiber network connecting Google's data centers worldwide, ensuring continuous data flow and scalable capacity across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 1 year of program management experience.
• Experience with fiber network deployments.
• Experience with network infrastructure, or risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of global network infrastructure programs, including long-haul fiber, metro networks, and leased capacity, ensuring milestones are met from concept through deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partner teams to understand technical dependencies, resolve constraints, and align capacity forecasting with infrastructure deployment timelines.
• Identify, mitigate, and communicate project risks and technical trade-offs clearly to both engineering teams and leadership stakeholders.
• Translate complex, ambiguous strategic initiatives into well-defined technical requirements, actionable roadmaps, and clear execution plans.
• Contribute to process improvements and scalability enhancements within network deployment workflows to optimize efficiency and accelerate capacity delivery.
