Job summary

Peak Energy in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks a Technical Program Manager for the ESS team to drive development and deployment of sodium-ion energy storage systems.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, and risk, and align stakeholders from engineering, product, supply chain, and operations to deliver reliable storage solutions that enable renewable energy growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in the battery or energy storage industry.
  • Strong technical background in battery energy storage systems, including familiarity with battery chemistries, energy management systems, and grid integration technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of energy storage system projects, from concept to delivery, within timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and requirements and develop comprehensive project plans.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and partners to drive alignment and satisfaction.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor progress with KPIs and provide regular updates to stakeholders on status and milestones.
  • Drive continuous improvement to optimize processes and increase efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements and integrate insights into planning and execution.
