Redwood Materials in San Francisco seeks a Senior Manager, Field Service Engineering & Technical Operations to build and scale our service organization for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) product line. You will transition the team from escalation support to a high-performing function that bridges field operations and core engineering.

Competenze

• 10+ years in electromechanical, power electronics or renewable energy infra (BESS, solar, grid-scale).
• 3+ years in direct engineering management or team lead role.
• Deep knowledge of BESS architecture with EMS/BMS/PCS and thermal controls.
• Experience designing and managing escalation models (Tier-1 → Tier-2/3 → Product Eng).

Mansioni

• Lead and scale a multi-tier Service Engineers team delivering advanced technical support.
• Define SLAs, handoff criteria, and escalation thresholds between O&M, Service Eng, and Product Eng.
• Oversee root-cause investigations across electrical, thermal, controls, software, and PCS/inverters.
• Drive design for serviceability and feedback loops from field data to product requirements.
• Develop service documentation, decision trees, and field training programs.
