Job summary

HCLTech in Seattle seeks a Technical Program Manager to conceptualize, design and manage delivery of technology programs across payments and enterprise platforms.

You will lead cross-functional teams, architect solutions, gather requirements, and ensure delivery against scope, quality standards and client expectations.

The role requires 10+ years of delivery experience, strong knowledge of Agile/DevOps/Lean, and proven ability to balance budgets, risks and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience delivering complex technology initiatives, including 10+ years in project/program management.
• Experience delivering large, cross-functional programmes through full software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience in enterprise payments, payment gateways or related platforms.
• Experience creating and executing implementation strategies for complex systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, DevOps and Lean delivery practices.
• Ability to lead technical discussions on APIs, distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Experience estimating effort, managing budgets and capacity; influencing decisions.
• Strong relationship, change management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Job Summary

To conceptualize| design and manage delivery of product / project and sustenance as per defined scope and standards in a particular technology.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. To manage the customer delivery / expectations and the technical team
• 2. To architect| design and develop solution for product / project and sustenance delivery
• 3. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology.
• 4. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated.
• 5. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements.

Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience delivering complex technology initiatives, including 10+ years in project or programme management.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large, cross-functional programmes through the full software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience in enterprise payments, retail payments, payment gateways, payment orchestration, merchant acquiring or related financial transaction platforms.
• Experience creating and executing implementation strategies for complex, highly integrated and business‑critical systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, DevOps and Lean delivery practices, with the judgement to apply the right approach for the programme context.
• Ability to lead technical discussions involving APIs, event-driven integrations, distributed systems, cloud platforms, databases and high‑availability services.
• Experience estimating effort and impact, managing budgets and capacity, and influencing technical and business decisions.
• Strong relationship, organisational change, facilitation, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively from engineering teams to executive leadership.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities with urgency, discipline and attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $95, 000/Annum

Pay Range Maximum: $192,000/Annum

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
