HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Program Delivery Director within Retail. The Program Delivery Director will own delivery across application support, enhancements, and new development for the Order Engineering, Planning & Forecasting, Pricing, and Sourcing portfolios. The Program Delivery Director will serve as the senior delivery and technical point of contact for client engineering leadership, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors. The Program Delivery Director will be responsible for bringing merchandising domain judgment to prioritization, tradeoff decisions, and roadmap discussions with the client. Must Have Experience:
- Program Delivery Directory within Retail will take over the account
- The Program Delivery Director to oversee & manage Software Development projects, design, coding, testing.
- Oversee Large Programs 100 + team size mixed from onshore and offshore resources
- Technical / Functional background: Managing Stakeholders, and teams be able to have technical conversations when needed
- Program Delivery Director should be strong in either Java SpringBoot or Oracle PLSQL / Database is Oracle
- Program Delivery Director should have experience with Cloud deployment implementation like GCP or Azure
- Program Delivery Director must come from Retail environment
- Program Delivery Director will oversee and manage ASM (Application Service Management
Job Description:
- Own delivery across application support, enhancements, and new development for the Order Engineering, Planning & Forecasting, Pricing, and Sourcing portfolios.
- Serve as the senior delivery and technical point of contact for client engineering leadership, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Bring merchandising domain judgment to prioritization, tradeoff decisions, and roadmap discussions with the client.
- Partner with client architects on solution direction, platform modernization, and technical debt reduction, contributing judgment rather than implementation.
- Drive agile delivery across multiple scrum teams, including release planning, sprint governance, velocity, and predictability of commitments.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and service quality targets for the support side of the portfolio.
- Lead major incident management, root cause analysis, and permanent fix ownership for production issues affecting order flow, pricing accuracy, forecasting outputs, and vendor sourcing processes.
- Run governance forums including sprint reviews, monthly operational reviews, and executive business reviews.
- Manage risks, escalations, and mitigation plans with transparency to both client and internal leadership.
- Coordinate onsite and offshore teams to maintain seamless execution across time zones.
- Track delivery metrics, resource utilization, and engineering productivity, and act on the trends.
- Identify and drive opportunities for automation, shift-left support, and process optimization.
- Support account growth through demand forecasting, capacity planning, and identification of transformation opportunities.
- Work with the in-team people manager on staffing, skills development, and retention.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong domain experience in retail merchandising, covering areas such as ordering and replenishment, planning and forecasting, pricing, and vendor sourcing, gained at retailers, ecommerce providers, or partners serving them.
- Progressive career growth from a software engineering background into engineering leadership, with current scope covering large delivery organizations.
- Proven experience leading teams of 100+ engineers across onsite-offshore models.
- Proven experience in overseeing & managing engagements and transitions for large Agile Software Development projects all phases.
- Ability to engage client technical leaders as a peer, follow design discussions, ask the right questions, and make sound calls on approach and sequencing without needing others to translate.
- Experience leading portfolios that combine mature enterprise applications with cloud-native and data-driven systems, and comfort setting priorities across both.
- Deep experience running agile delivery at scale, including scaled frameworks and multi-team release coordination.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication, with a track record of building trust with senior client leaders.
- Experience managing both run and build portfolios, including SLA-governed application support alongside project delivery.
- Experience with major incident management and structured escalation handling.
- Sound commercial awareness covering forecasting, staffing mix, and cost management.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Pay Range Minimum: 174,000k
Pay Range Maximum: 257,000k
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
