Job summary

Chart Industries in New Prague, MN is seeking a professional with 3-5 years of experience in sales, engineering or manufacturing to join our team. This role combines technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration on product design, pricing, and process improvements.

You will be a key technical contact for service and product management, drive ECO/ECR processes, and support training, NPD, CAPA, and warranty activities. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in sales and/or engineering and/or manufacturing.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with design, field operation and maintenance personnel as required.
• Strong industry knowledge including an understanding of the products, customers, and competitors.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple tasks.
• Understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, structures, mechanics of materials.

Responsibilities

• Support sales and marketing efforts to maximize sales / market share of products.
• Serve as a technical subject-matter expert for the product line and primary technical point of contact for Tech Service and the Product Manager.
• Create and process engineering change requests (ECO/ECR) and temporary design deviations to communicate changes to product design and customer facing documentation.
• Improve product consistency and reduce variance and warranty claims by working across the organization to identify and resolve potential defects.
• Lead value engineering efforts through engineering and CI teams.
• Develop and present internal and external training.
• Sponsor NPD efforts with engineering team.
• Manage warranty claims.
• Lead product related CAPA efforts as appropriate.
• Assist Product Manager in pricing decisions and contract structures.
• Utilize the S&OP process to ensure business needs will be met.
