Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC. seeks a Technical Product Manager – FPGA, RF & DSP in Austin, TX to own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of RF, DSP, and FPGA-based COTS solutions.

You will translate complex RF/DSP concepts into concrete product requirements and guide products from concept through launch. You bring 7+ years in RF, DSP, FPGA, embedded electronics or defense tech, strong communication skills, and a track record turning technical tradeoffs into market-ready roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• 7+ years in RF, DSP, FPGA, embedded electronics, or defense/embedded tech.
• Strong understanding of FPGA architectures, RF systems, and DSP.
• Understanding RF-to-digital signal chain including RF front ends, data converters, FPGA processing, and DSP.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into product requirements and business cases.
• Strong communication with engineering, sales, customers, suppliers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for RF/DSP/FPGA solutions within the portfolio.
• Develop multi-year roadmaps based on customer needs, tech trends, competition, and business goals.
• Translate system-level requirements and tradeoffs into product strategies and requirements.
• Develop business cases for new products and present to executives.
• Lead concept definition and support the NPI process from requirements to launch.
• Evaluate competitive products, technologies, architectures and form factors.
• Manage product-line financial performance including revenue, cost, profitability, and priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering to define requirements, differentiation, and development priorities.
• Engage with sales, customers, and partners to identify market opportunities.
• Prepare technical presentations, collateral, training materials, and other communications.
• Support secure customer engagements as required.
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend enhancements or lifecycle changes.
• Influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without direct authority.
• Communicate complex RF, DSP, FPGA, and embedded technologies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
