Responsibilities

• Supervise a caseload through direct contact with defendants and maintain collateral contacts with agencies.
• Investigate defendants' backgrounds, prepare reports, appear and testify before the Court.
• Foster an environment promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Utilize Evidence Based Practices in community supervision.
• Obtain background information to effect positive behavioral change.
• Complete actuarial risk and needs assessment to manage risk and develop supervision plans.
• Utilize Motivational Interviewing to aid behavioral change.
• Address antisocial behavior with appropriate interventions.
• Facilitate supervision via electronic monitoring, visits, screening, and referrals.
• Maintain accurate case records and review monthly summaries.
• Prepare Court reports and documents per policy.
• Interact with the Judiciary in writing and verbally.
• Develop relationships with government and other agencies.
• Complete 40 hours of professional development annually.
• Undergo FBI/PA clearances and JNET certification as required.
• Comply with Mandated Reporting Regulations.
• Promote victim restoration.
• May work non-traditional hours.
