Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Technical Manager to join the Walbridge team. In this role, you will act as the technical expert for the electrical discipline to ensure all related construction activities are performed according to professional standards. You will solve complex technical problems, manage equipment startup and commissioning (V-Start), and assist in implementing the project’s 4-phase quality control plan. You will also monitor field construction of electrical subcontractors for schedule adherence and conformance to contract documents.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

• Develop critical path schedules for electrical systems, coordinate with subcontractors and design teams
• Manage procurement and bidding processes for electrical equipment and trades
• Oversee startup, pretesting, and quality control of electrical systems, including third-party commissioning
• Track and review electrical submittals and coordinate construction activities

Qualifications

To qualify, you must have:

• A 4-year engineering degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of extensive electrical/related experience
• Leadership and scheduling capabilities in electrical projects
• Preconstruction and procurement experience preferred
• Willingness to travel extensively, with a valid US driver’s license and passport
