Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Technical Lead - Vehicle Communications Calibration to own serial-data calibration across propulsion controls. You will guide calibration engineers, improve tools, and ensure repeatable, standards-based calibration practices for high-quality product releases.

You will collaborate with calibration, controls, software, and validation teams, shaping technical direction while delivering dependable vehicle features to customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• 5+ years in propulsion-system calibration, controls or related field.
• Strong understanding of calibration execution and system functionality.
• Knowledge of vehicle networks (CAN, LIN).
• Experience analyzing calibration data to identify root causes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for serial-data calibration across engine, transmission, and powertrain control modules.
• Provide direction for calibration execution and configuration accuracy.
• Review calibration guides, requirements and design intent to understand applications.
• Analyze calibration data and test results to identify root causes and drive fixes.
• Balance technical intent with system requirements and program needs.
• Create and improve tools, workflows, and training to increase repeatability.
