The role blends hands-on coding with technical leadership across Java, cloud, microservices, DevOps, and payments technologies.

You’ll mentor developers, shape architecture, and drive best practices while delivering scalable systems for high-volume transactions in a regulated environment. On-site, full-time.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of professional Java development experience.
• 5+ years mentoring, coaching, or technically leading engineers.
• Experience designing scalable and resilient distributed systems.
• Strong cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Payment tokenization and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES).
• PCI DSS and EMVCo compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Define and execute technical strategy and architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance FinTech applications.
• Provide technical guidance on software design, code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and engineering best practices.
• Promote an Agile, DevOps, and ownership-driven engineering culture.
• Partner with Product Managers and business leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Design fault-tolerant, scalable, low-latency applications for high-volume transactions.
• Drive performance, observability, and security improvements.
• Architect and deploy microservices on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Design and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive CI/CD automation and modern DevOps practices with Jenkins.
• Ensure SDLC compliance and secure coding practices.
• Work with PCI DSS, MDES, and secure credential provisioning.
