Qualifications

• 8–12 years of professional Java development experience.
• 5+ years mentoring, coaching, or technically leading engineers.
• Experience designing scalable and resilient distributed systems.
• Strong cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Payment tokenization and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES).
• PCI DSS and EMVCo compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Define and execute technical strategy and architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance FinTech applications.
• Provide technical guidance on software design, code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and engineering best practices.
• Promote an Agile, DevOps, and ownership-driven engineering culture.
• Partner with Product Managers and business leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Design fault-tolerant, scalable, low-latency applications for high-volume transactions.
• Drive performance, observability, and security improvements.
• Architect and deploy microservices on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Design and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive CI/CD automation and modern DevOps practices with Jenkins.
• Ensure SDLC compliance and secure coding practices.
• Work with PCI DSS, MDES, and secure credential provisioning.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead – Platform to join our Engineering team and help architect, build, and scale secure, high-performance financial technology solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, mentoring talented developers, and working at the intersection of Java, cloud, microservices, DevOps, and payment technologies.

You will play a key role in defining technical architecture, driving engineering best practices, and delivering highly scalable systems capable of supporting high-volume financial transactions.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Define and execute technical strategy and architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance FinTech applications.
• Provide technical guidance on software design, code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and engineering best practices.

• Drive application performance, reliability, observability, and security improvements.
• Ensure software development follows strong SDLC, coding, quality, and compliance practices.
• Architect and deploy microservices on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Design and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive CI/CD automation and modern DevOps practices using tools such as Jenkins.
• Leverage cloud monitoring, logging, and scaling capabilities to support production workloads.

Payments & Security

• Design and support secure payment processing applications within a regulated environment.
• Work with payment tokenization and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) integrations.
• Build and maintain secure credential provisioning and payment-token management services.
• Work with authentication, authorization, encryption, key management, and certificate lifecycles.
• Ensure solutions align with industry standards including PCI DSS and EMVCo.

Data & Distributed Systems

• Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases for large-scale data processing.
• Work with real-time and distributed processing technologies such as Kafka and Hadoop.

What We're Looking For
