Job summary

NationsBenefits seeks a Software Development Engineer II (Platform) in Plantation, FL. You will design, develop, and maintain FinTech features using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x, building scalable microservices and REST APIs.

Work with product managers, participate in code reviews, and ensure code quality with unit and integration tests, while adhering to security and compliance standards. Full-time on-site role in Florida.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in Java 21 with Spring Boot 3.x.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git, SonarQube, and automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Agile development methodologies with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features for our FinTech application using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code focusing on performance and maintainability.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend application functionality.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews and quality assurance.
