Job summary

NationsBenefits is recruiting a Technical Lead (Platform) to guide a growing Engineering - FinTech team in Plantation, FL. You will lead, mentor, and grow engineers while shaping the technical strategy for scalable Java microservices with a focus on security and performance.

Collaborate with product and business leaders to deliver compliant fintech solutions across cloud platforms, containers, and modern SDLC practices; foster an Agile DevOps culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 8–12 years of Java development with 5+ years mentoring.
• Expertise in Java with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Agile, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to design secure applications in a regulated environment.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and high-volume data processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Recruit, onboard, and train engineers; conduct reviews.
• Promote Agile and DevOps culture with ownership and accountability.
• Define technical strategy and architecture for scalable fintech app.
• Develop Java microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Architect and maintain cloud-based microservices on Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
