Job summary

NationsBenefits is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (Platform) in Plantation, FL. This role leads a team to design and deliver Java-based microservices on cloud platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance FinTech applications.

You will guide architecture, drive SDLC best practices, and collaborate across product, engineering, and business teams to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
3–6 years of Java development experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot 3.x).
Strong Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful API design skills.
Experience in microservices, cloud deployment, and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing engineers, fostering a collaborative culture.
Recruit, onboard, and train engineers while ensuring best development practices.
Conduct performance reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions for team growth.
Promote Agile and DevOps practices, driving ownership and collaboration.
Define and execute technical strategy and architecture for scalable FinTech apps.
Ensure SDLC aligns with standards, security, and compliance guidelines.
