Job summary

Pomelo Care, Inc. seeks a technical lead to own the patient-facing experiences from enrollment through the care journey. You will steer mobile and web app strategy, prototype features with design and product, and mentor engineers to raise the bar for the team.

You will collaborate with clinical, product, and design teams to deliver user-centric health experiences, leverage emerging AI tools to accelerate impact, and establish scalable architecture patterns for a fast-growing, remote-US team.

Qualifications

• Experience building consumer or patient-facing products (mobile and/or web).
• Served as a technical lead setting architecture direction and mentoring engineers.
• Strong opinions on delivering great user experiences.
• Comfortable working across the full stack in a startup environment.
• Knowledge of trends in LLM coding agents to boost engineering impact.
• Collaborates closely with product and design, not just specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction for our mobile development strategy and patient-facing apps.
• Prototype and ship features in mobile and web apps with design and product teams.
• Shape product direction for patient engagement in the first month.
• Interact with patients to turn needs into features with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise team standards.
• Define architectures and development practices for patient-facing products.
