Pomelo Care is the leading virtual medical practice for women and children, delivering proactive, 24/7 clinical care with technology to reach patients earlier and tailor care across the journey.

As Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will ensure strategy and updates land clearly with frontline teams and support company-wide communications, reporting to the VP, People; location: anywhere in the continental US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in internal communications, strategic operations, or executive communications, ideally in a healthcare or clinical environment.
• Clear and direct communicator, verbally and in writing, who defaults to plain language over corporate speak.
• Editorial backbone, with the confidence to challenge senior leaders and flag when a message is buried or unclear.
• Deep empathy; understanding how to write for a diverse audience in a fast-paced professional setting.
• Systems-thinker; able to extrapolate from a concrete task to a template, framework and philosophy.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of managing calendars and multi-channel rollouts without missing a detail.

Responsibilities

• Own all-company content strategy and speaker prep for forums (All Hands, OKR updates, offsites).
• Partner with executive leadership and external PR to align internal and external messaging.
• Establish a framework to tailor communication plans based on scale, complexity, and sensitivity of change.
• Act as communications air traffic controller to ensure visibility into rolling updates and sequencing.
• Manage a comprehensive communications calendar and create resources to empower clear, brand-aligned communication.
• Create resources to empower employees to communicate in a way that aligns with Pomelo’s brand voice and expectations
• Embed with the clinical team to plan communications early in initiatives and maintain cognitive load balance for staff
• Draft messaging for key communications and provide feedback on rhythms and gaps to improve the clinical team's experience
