Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of mechanical and electro-mechanical products, driving design analysis, validation planning, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.

This role partners with supply chain, manufacturing engineering, sales, and quality to ensure robust designs, proper validation, and manufacturability, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting cost and schedule estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in 3D design software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Experience with injection molding and die casting.
• Knowledge of GD&T standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented in fast paced environments.
• Experience with seal design.
• Familiarity with CSA Class I, Division 2 and UL standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead for new product development of mechanical and electro-mechanical products.
• Lead design analysis (FEA, CFD), design reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and DFM reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, manufacturing, sales, and quality.
• Interact externally with customers and suppliers on technical topics.
• Work with Program Management to estimate product cost and development timelines.
• Develop and write design validation test specifications with testing teams.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and drafters.
