Job summary

EControls is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead to drive new product development of mechanical and electro-mechanical products. You will lead design analysis, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and design reviews while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, an MS preferred, and strong experience with SolidWorks, FEA/CFD, and GD&T in fast-paced environments. Injection molding knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Proficient in 3D mechanical design (SolidWorks preferred).
• Proficient in analysis tools (FEA, CFD, Tolerance stack).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understand and apply GD&T standards.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Injection molding/die casting processes and design practices.
• Knowledge of CSA Class1, Div 2 and UL (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead for new product development of mechanical and electro-mechanical products.
• Lead design analysis (FEA, CFD), design reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and DFM reviews.
• Act as product expert, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and support products.
• Interact with customers and suppliers on technical topics.
• Assist Program Manager to estimate product cost and development timeline.
• Develop and write design validation test specifications with the test lab.
