Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop industrial equipment, improving existing systems and supporting cross‑functional teams. The role emphasizes electromechanical design, safety compliance, and manufacturing alignment, with a strong problem‑solving focus.

Collaboration with customers and internal departments is essential, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BEng required.
Experience with electromechanical equipment design.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and improve industrial equipment and machinery.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable safety and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with customers and internal departments to develop practical engineering solutions.
Participate in research, development, and prototype projects.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, service, installation, and sales teams.
Develop maintenance recommendations, service schedules, and spare parts documentation.
Investigate equipment issues and implement corrective improvements.
Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
Assist with engineering projects and product development initiatives.
Support and mentor engineering and drafting staff as needed.
