JOB SUMMARY

Information technology (IT) business systems analysis work involves acting as a liaison between the business/end users and IT systems development teams to address business needs requiring IT-based solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identify and analyze business needs, conduct requirements gathering, and define scope and objectives.
2. Recommend solutions or improvements to business processes through new technology or better use of existing technology.
3. Research business requirements and document relationships between application system components (end-users, business processes, data, applications, devices).
4. Translate business requirements into application requirements.
5. Manage projects/processes independently with limited supervision.
6. Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Own delivery and support responsibility for a product or platform team, driving technical priorities.
• Oversee agile development activities and lead mechanisms to support agile delivery.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams and troubleshoot technical issues daily.
• Provide hands-on assistance with complex technical solutions when necessary.
• Engage with technical stakeholders to manage requirements and estimate efforts.
• Ensure engineering and technical considerations are integrated into team processes.
• Lead technical design, ensuring adherence to architecture, security, and best practices.

Mandatory Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in CS or 5-7 years of software development experience, including 1 year in a leadership role.
• Experience in developing and supporting scalable applications in an agile environment.
• Hands-on experience with relevant technologies (programming languages, databases, integrations).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.

Competencies:

• Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset with an agile development approach.
• Adaptability and willingness to grow across the technology stack.
• Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in teamwork and collaboration.

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years in Java development, frameworks like Spring, SQL/NoSQL databases, TDD, microservices, cloud deployment experience.
• Experience mentoring developers is a plus.
