Our great client has an immediate remote opening for a Senior Java Developer. If you are interested, please apply with your resume.

We are seeking an application developer to upgrade legacy applications to the latest versions of Java, Spring, and Hibernate. In this role, you will collaborate with an application development team to upgrade, test, and remediate vulnerabilities in the applications. The team will include a Tech Lead, QA, BA, and Senior Application Developers.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop high-quality, secure, scalable, and maintainable software, adhering to coding standards.
2. Review code with other developers to share project and technical knowledge.
3. Deploy projects within the build and deploy pipeline.
4. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA testers in a high-energy Agile environment.
5. Participate in technical planning, determine tasks, estimates, and dependencies.
6. Update and modernize code to ensure security, stability, and support.
7. Enhance continuous testing and secure coding standards.
8. Communicate project status and deliverables effectively to the team and management.
9. Run scans and remediate vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems (additional experience beyond an Associate Degree may substitute).
• 2-5 years of experience with Java.
• Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum.
• Knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, API development, web applications, and relational databases.
• Ability to create and execute test cases using JUnit with a focus on continuous testing.
• Ability to design scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Focus on continuous improvement and long-term goals.
• Experience with JIRA.
