Enovis Corporation in Austin, Texas is seeking an Enabling Technologies Technical Lead to guide design, development and delivery of orthopedic technology solutions. You will partner with Product Management, Systems Engineering, Software, Quality and Regulatory teams to shape architecture and deliver high-quality, compliant medical devices.

The role blends hands-on leadership with mentoring, driving innovation while ensuring robust verification, validation, and risk management across the product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years in complex medical devices or related tech.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong systems engineering integrating software, electronics and mech.
• Experience with medical device design controls and lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across product development from concept to commercialization.
• Define system architecture and ensure hardware-software integration and usability.
• Lead design reviews for software, embedded systems, electronics and optics.
• Drive navigation, visualization, sensor fusion, and AI-enabled tech for ortho procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate clinical needs into robust solutions.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, MDR, IEC, ISO and design controls throughout lifecycle.
• Mentor engineering teams and manage technical risks with mitigation plans.
• Support verification, validation, usability testing and design transfer activities.
