Job summary

Enovis is seeking an Enabling Technologies Technical Lead in Austin to drive the architecture and delivery of augmented reality navigation and robotic integration for orthopedic applications. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across software, hardware, and systems engineering to translate clinical needs into safe, effective, and commercially viable medical devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience developing complex medical devices or related technology products.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong systems engineering background integrating software, electronics, mechanical systems, and algorithms.
• Experience with medical device design controls and product development processes.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, technical risk management, verification and validation, and product lifecycle management.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical leader for Enovis enabling technologies, focusing on AR navigation and/or robotic integration for knee and shoulder applications.
• Provide system architecture, interfaces, coordinate systems, tracking and workflow for safe robotic-assisted orthopedic procedures.
• Lead development and integration activities translating clinical needs into complete medical device products.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Product Management, Systems Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Operations, and Program Management to translate objectives into requirements and plans.
• Support design controls, verification, validation, usability engineering, and design transfer activities across lifecycle stages.
• Mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams and foster technical excellence and best practices.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies across hardware, software, instrumentation, and algorithms.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for future product roadmaps.
