Job summary

Enovis is seeking an Engineering Manager for Sustaining- Enabling Technologies in Austin, TX. You will oversee sustaining engineering activities, manage resources, and contribute to development efforts across mechanical, electronic hardware, and software in a medical device context.

You will lead projects, mentor engineers, ensure design history files, and collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to meet timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in a regulated industry; 6+ years with a Master's.
• Experience in medical device product development.
• Familiarity with enabling technology (preoperative planning, navigation, robotics).
• Proficiency with software development processes.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to data and tests.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820.

Responsibilities

• Manage project prioritization and resource allocation.
• Mentor engineers with technical guidance and performance coaching.
• Lead product development from concept to verification and manufacturing.
• Provide expert leadership to minimize delays and overruns.
• Create design documentation and risk assessments; support design reviews.
• Develop detailed 3-D CAD drawings (SolidWorks) and design changes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing).
• Maintain DHF documentation and test protocols.
