Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Technical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee waived testing across six Duluth-area clinics. This leader will supervise six direct reports at two locations, support bench operations and patient care, and ensure training, compliance, and scheduling align with regulatory standards.

The role may involve phlebotomy as needed and requires ASCP or equivalent certification with a four-year degree in Medical Laboratory Science and 2 years of hospital/clinic lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
• Meets CLIA guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing for the alternative route.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital/clinic laboratory experience.

Job Description: Essentia Health is seeking its next Technical Laboratory Supervisor to provide technical oversight of waived laboratory testing across six neighborhood clinics in the Duluth area. This role supervises six direct reports at two locations, supports bench operations and direct patient care; including phlebotomy collections as needed, and oversees training, competency assessments, scheduling, and regulatory compliance.

Education Qualifications

• Graduate of a four-year degree in Medical Laboratory science or equivalent
• Meets Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing for alternative route.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of previous experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory
