Federal Signal in University Park, IL is seeking a part-time Intern as an Integration Technician. The student should be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and will assist in testing, wiring, firmware loading, and system integration.

Responsibilities include software integration, assisting with commissioning training, and supporting field service activities. Local candidates only; wage is $22.00/hr, with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a technical field listed above.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Considering local candidates only; no relocation or housing stipend.

Responsibilities

• Through testing, confirms all engineered systems are manufactured to customer design specifications and applicable test regime.
• Ensures all work is completed to the correct documentation revisions and mark ups and are communicated to Systems Engineering.
• Coordinates and participates in commissioning engineer training programs.
• Performs software integration and testing.
• Assists Engineering in the design, documentation, and testing of new products as required.
• Assists with training and demonstration of systems.
• Other duties as required.
