Job summary

Watchfire in Danville, IL is seeking a student intern to participate in hardware development activities and assist Mechanical Engineers with prototyping. You will help test and evaluate new and existing products while collaborating closely with the R&D team.

The role expects active enrollment in engineering/technology programs, full-time status for the current semester, and the ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer session.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with Microsoft software, Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of semester.
• Able to work up to 40 hours per week during summer session.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hardware development activities.
• Assist Mechanical Engineers with projects and prototyping as needed.
• Help with testing and evaluation of new and existing products.
• Collaborate closely with R&D team members.
