Job summary

SmartTech Contracting LLC seeks a System Integrator Intern – I to support BAS and EPMS deployments on critical infrastructure projects. You will work with experienced engineers to learn field installation, startup, and commissioning of PLCs, SCADA systems, and related networks.

This hands-on internship focuses on practical automation, controls software, and project coordination in high-stakes environments, with extensive on-site exposure and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed technical education in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Controls Engineering.
• Interest in controls, automation, commissioning, PLCs, SCADA, and industrial systems.
• Exposure to modern software deployment tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with verification of controls installations and field wiring.
• Support startup, testing, and commissioning of BAS, EPMS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
• Document field observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Learn Ignition 8.3 deployment, networking, and software validation.
