Daughtridge Sales and MCE is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Rocky Mount, NC. You will be the hub for a dedicated set of accounts, handling quotes, orders, and proactive communication to ensure customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates are organized, customer-obsessed, and thrive in a fast-paced technical sales environment. This role offers growth within an established family business with 70+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inside sales, account management, or customer service experience in a technical or industrial environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously without losing accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience with ERP and/or CRM platforms.
• Clear, professional communicator — written and verbal — who can build rapport quickly and handle customer issues calmly.
• Collaborative team player who works well across inside sales, outside sales, and operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience is what matters most.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts: serve as the primary inside point of contact for a dedicated set of accounts, build relationships and trust.
• Manage inbound and outbound customer communication promptly and professionally, addressing questions and escalations.
• Partner closely with outside sales representatives to support long-term account planning and growth strategies.
• Prepare accurate quotes and process orders efficiently, ensuring all customer-specific requirements are met.
• Monitor open orders for on-time delivery based on agreed customer expectations and flag issues early.
• Maintain CRM data and ensure documentation, quotations, and purchase orders are accurate and on schedule.
