Job summary

MRC Global seeks a customer-focused professional to support the sale of instrumentation and controls and specialty products. You will coordinate with Supply Management to meet customer specs, assist with orders, pricing, and documentation, and help ensure quality and timely responses.

The role requires strong PVF knowledge, sales experience and excellent communication, with willingness to travel regionally and maintain accurate records. Overtime and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong PVF product knowledge and analytical skills.
• Two or more years in customer service, inside sales or warehouse roles.
• Ability to travel regionally as required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficient in English; capable of clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for customers regarding product specs.
• Able to size pneumatic and electric actuators for valves.
• Enter and maintain purchase orders, customer orders, and discounts.
• Maintain records, pricing knowledge and product catalogs.
• Provide price quotes to customers after obtaining vendor quotes.
• Respond to inquiries and maintain rapport with customers, vendors and branches.
• Ensure quality standards and safety practices are followed.
• Travel as needed and support additional duties as assigned.
