Job summary

MRC Global is seeking a motivated professional to join the sales team in the United States. You will provide technical assistance to customers, size actuators, and recommend solutions based on customer requirements.

You will manage orders, pricing, and discounts while maintaining extensive product knowledge. Ideal candidates have a related undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in customer service or inside sales, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong PVF product knowledge and math/analytical skills.
• 2+ years in customer service or inside sales with increasing responsibility.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for customers on product specifications; troubleshoot applications.
• Size pneumatic and electric actuators for valves.
• Assess customer needs to recommend products and solutions.
• Enter/maintain purchase orders, customer orders, and trade discounts.
• Maintain rebate, stock, price catalogs, and customer lists files.
• Obtain price quotes from vendors and Supply Management for resale to customers.
• Respond promptly to inquiries about material and sales function; build rapport.
• Keep current on product pricing.
• Learn new procedures and product information.
• Overtime may be required; perform other duties as assigned.
