Job summary

Carotek, a SunSource company, seeks an energetic Inside Sales professional to join our Instrumentation Inside Sales team at our Marietta, GA headquarters. The role focuses on providing technical customer service, selecting and quoting products, and supporting the outside sales staff.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and 3+ years in Inside Sales within the Industrial Fluid Process industry. Hours are Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) from a Business or Engineering program.
• Three plus years experience in an Inside Sales relatable position within the Industrial Fluid Process industry.
• Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, mechanical assemblies, gauges, valves, instrumentation, steam traps and/or a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to customers and support to outside sales staff.
• Answer calls or respond to customer inquiries regarding technical questions on products or systems.
• Engage in technical discussions to identify correct product and advise on substitutions or modifications.
• Select and specify products based on customer application and design prerequisites.
• Coordinate with service technicians and managers to resolve complex problems and escalate as needed.
• Prepare detailed product quotations including price, discount and shipping within guidelines.
• Inform customers about pricing, back orders, delivery times, and shipment issues.
• Obtain purchase order numbers and payment details from customers.
• Coordinate with Accounting to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Attend sales meetings or educational activities to stay updated on product developments.
