Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join our team in a hands-on training program within a manufacturing environment. You will build product expertise, provide technical guidance to customers, handle inquiries, and collaborate with Outside Sales to grow opportunities.

The role emphasizes data-driven growth, process adaptation, and strong communication skills to support orders from entry to delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude or technical inclination essential.
• 1–3 years experience in sales or customer service in a manufacturing/technical setting.
• Proficient computer skills to manage daily tasks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft AX is a plus.
• Able to adapt to new processes and environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers.
• Manage order entry to fulfillment with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple orders and quotes simultaneously.
• Data-driven mindset to analyze growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Complete hands-on training in a manufacturing environment.
• Develop product expertise and understand technical specs and features.
• Provide technical information and guidance to customers.
• Respond to inbound sales inquiries with product details and pricing.
• Proactively contact existing customers to generate new opportunities.
• Enter orders and quotes for stock and custom components.
