Job summary

The Army National Guard offers a Technical Engineer pathway focused on planning, surveying, drafting, and developing construction plans for airfields, roads, and facilities. You will gain hands-on experience in maps, CAD drafting, and civil engineering projects while earning a paycheck.

Training comprises 10 weeks of Basic Training and 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with opportunities for tuition assistance and other benefits during service.

Qualifications

• Training covers topographic mapping and drafting with CAD systems.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD systems.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys and results using survey tech.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
