Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Technical Engineer to assist in planning and repairing airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other projects. You will draw maps, conduct surveys, and support construction efforts in a military environment.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with tuition and benefits. Expect pay during drill weekends and access to education benefits.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Ages 17–35.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal/moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD systems.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys using survey instruments and GPS technology.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
