Job summary

Army National Guard seeks a Technical Engineer to support construction planning and surveying tasks, including map production, field surveys, and engineering drawings. Trainees learn to develop construction plans and specifications for airstrips, docks, barracks, and roads.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using Computer Aided Drafting systems and software
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys and results utilizing Automated Integrated Survey Instruments and Global Positioning Survey Technology
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects
