Job summary

The Army National Guard is seeking a Technical Engineer to help plan, build, and repair airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and related facilities. You will develop surveying, drafting, and construction plan skills through formal training and on-site practice.

Duties include creating maps, conducting land surveys, and supporting both vertical and horizontal construction projects with CAD tools and surveying instruments. Through the training program you are paid while you learn.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD systems.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys using surveying instruments.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects
